I love tinkering and working on tech projects (mostly software). All my public projects are on my GitHub, but here are the ones I’m most proud of:

Projects

Ohana
- a search engine for the living web (source)

With most human web traffic today being consolidated into a handful of centralized, proprietary platforms, I wanted to create an easy way to find cool indie1 websites2. With how much of the web is AI-generated slop and/or malicious, filter this cream of the crop has been no easy feat.

What I'm Up To Lately

Since I don’t return to uni until January, I’ve been spending most of my time either working on Ohana, my discovery and search engine for the indie web, and lifting with a new legs-focused routine I put together.

Despite it still being unfinished, I’m continually blown away at how much I’ve learned from building Ohana: from gaining comfort with Java and Rust (two languages I’d been cripplingly intimidated by beforehand), to reinforcing mutexes, concurrency, pointers, and Docker; even learning DSA concepts like breadth-first search and Big O notation. Overall, I’ve never felt this competent as a developer.
